Where is Walridge located?
We are conveniently located in the Northwest area of Knoxville just five minutes from the I-75, I-275, I-640 interstate junction. Head north on 25W (Clinton Highway) about a mile to Merchants Drive. Take a left on Merchants and proceed until Merchants dead ends at Pleasant Ridge Road. Turn right onto Pleasant Ridge Road. Walridge Road is the first left you will come to, just past the Goodwill. New To Walridge?
Visiting a church for the first time can be an intimidating experience. We want to share a little of what to expect and set your mind at ease about visiting Walridge. Here's a few commonly asked questions:

What time are your services?
Our services begin with Sunday School at 10:00 am. We meet at 11:00 am in our sanctuary for our morning service. We then meet back again at 6:00 pm for our evening service. Most Sundays there is a time of fellowship after the evening service with refreshments in our Life Center.

Do you have a Wednesday evening service?
We sure do! Though many churches are doing away with the midweek prayer meeting, we believe it is vital for encouragement and growth in a Christians life. We meet at 7:00 pm every Wednesday evening.

What is the atmosphere of worship like at Walridge?
We are an old fashioned church. Our singing is Christ-centered and Spirit-filled. We sing old fashioned hymns and songs out of the Red Church Hymnal and the Baptist Hymnal. Preaching is the centerpiece of our services. You'll hear the Word of God preached passionately, Scripturally and powerfully. At Walridge we believe in praising the Lord! It is not uncommon in our services to hear the saints saying "Amen" and praising the Lord.

How long do your services typically last?
Our services typically last about an hour to an hour and a half from the first welcome to the last amen. However we follow the Holy Spirit as He leads our services, and we promise that when the Lord is in it you won't want to leave!

Where do I park and which door do I enter?
There is ample parking surrounding our sanctuary. Park wherever is most convenient for you and your family. All of our doors are unlocked before and during our services. Every door enters into a lobby area from which you can enter our main sanctuary. Feel free to use whichever door is most convenient.

Where will my children be during the service?
It depends on their age. At Walridge we have something for all ages. We have a Sunday School class that is specific for your childs age group. During our morning service we have our kidz zone ministry for ages 5-10 taking place in our Life Center featuring games, singing, Bible memory and a simple, solid Bible message each week. Of course if you prefer, you are welcome to keep your children in the main service with you. We love to see families worshiping together!

Do you have a nursery?
Yes we do! We provide a clean comfortable nursery staffed with competent loving workers. You may leave your child in their care or you are welcome to stay in the nursery with them. We broadcast our services into our nursery onto a state of the art flat panel television with surround sound. It's like your sitting in the service!

What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable when you visit Walridge. Many of our members will be wearing their "Sunday best." You'll see everything from suits, ties and dresses to more casual clothes. Dress to please the Lord and you will fit in just fine. We are more concerned with your attendance than your appearance.

Will I be expected to give money?
No. We do take up an offering during each of our services but only our members are expected to give. Of course if you would like to give you are free to do so but it is certainly not expected of you.
